First of all let me introduce myself, my name is Carol and I’m a Brazilian book addict (proud to be a bookworm o/).
I created this blog to talk about the books I read, new releases, authors and/or anything related to reading, books and writing. The name of the blog was inspired by my two favorite Disney characters ever!!
The Beast is the best prince, after all what bookworm doesn’t want THAT library as a gift???
Also along with blogging I’m trying to get even more into the business, helping authors who want to get signed in Brazil (if you know one, please ask her/him to contact me 😉 ).
And this is me:
A little bit more about me…
As you already know my name is Carol and I’m Brazilian (I live in a city called Belo Horizonte – which means “Beautiful Horizon” and it is a capital of one of our biggest Estates – Minas Gerais – if you watched the World Cup 2014, my city was a host for some games 😉 ). I’m 25 years old, obssessed with books. I love baking, I’m addicted to make-up, purses and Coca-Cola. I have a degree in International Business, I just started Law School and I teach English here in Brazil.
I started reading when I was 4 years old. I was taught to do it at home, because nobody wanted to keep up with my requests for reading my books (LOL), so I was pretty eager to learn it and did it a year before my classmates! I’ve always been an avid reader (I even got prizes for getting more books from the Library on my high school), but I also used to write (I’m still not convinced to go back into writing).
I love any TV show with a “vampire” in it, I’m a die-hard Harry Potter and Star Wars fan, I’ve been told I’m a bit of a geek (although I’m a total girl LMAO), but I’m also a loyal friend, sarcastic as hell, my sense of humour is the most weird (and sometimes dark) and I love to laugh and make people laugh! Although most people would say I’m “ackward” or eccentric, I’m proud to be like that! I always fight for what I believe and my friends, I’m as crazy as you can get and you will never find a person more clumsy and uncoordinated in your life…
Anyway…I’m a person like any other, I have qualities and flaws (many of them!) but I’m working hard to make Beauty and The Book Blog (former Sex and the Books better every day! I hope you enjoy my reviews, thoughts or my ocasional “ackwardness”.
