Review: Him by Carey Heywood

First of all, I’d like to thank the lovely Carey Heywood for sending me an ARC of Him. Besides being a great writer she’s also a sweetie. ❤

HIM

Rating: 4 stars

Goodreads Synopsis:

Sarah Miller hasn’t been home in seven years. She thought she could stay away forever. If it wasn’t for her big brother’s wedding, that is. Part of her even feels silly for staying away this long. It’s not like anyone even knew what happened. Well, except for him.

That guy. The one she compared all others to. The one who set the bar so high no other guy after him could even compete. The one who made her feel like anything was possible. The one she thought she would never be good enough for. The one she spent the last seven years trying to forget.
All she needs to do is make it through the next week without running into him.

My Review:

Him is a flirty romance reading and I liked it so, so much! I can’t wait for everyone to meet him 😉

I’ll keep the suspense and won’t mention his name, it would be more fun this way! Just know this is a MUST read!

Sarah is a great character. She never forgot her first love and after seven years, seeing him again will make her question a lot of what made her what she is in the present. She will also question if she rather be alone and lead a lonely life than forgive the one who was always her best friend..

Him on the other side, can’t move past the one who got away, his best friend, Sarah. But it’s justifiable. When we get to know the reasons behind her moving away and not coming home for seven years, it’s clear that even after everything she loved him.

Him is set between the past and the present, showing us how Sarah and his relationship begun in high school and then showing us who they were in the present. The characters are so real and funny in this book, you can’t get enough of them! I loved Sarah’s brother, Brian. And Sawyer, her best friend is hilarious! She’s very laid back and is friends with all her exes and is always there for Sarah. She’s a sweetie (she also might have her own book in the future)! i don’t like HIS mother, she’s crazy (she has reasons to be), but she’s also very cuddled. His an enabler and that way his mother behavior will never change…I want to see what comes next for her too. I also want to see his ex-girlfriend being ditched at the altar, what a bitch she is and was!!!I literally couldn’t stop reading and when I saw I’ve already reached the end. There are a lot of things left unsaid, but no cliffhangers here.

Her, the second, book will be released this year (I can’t wait for it!),  I had a chat with Carey and apparently it will be in his POV and it will continue after where Him left us. You won’t regret getting to know HIM and all the characters.

I don’t wanna say too much, just know that once you read Him, you’ll be dying for HER like I am…Mark your calendars for July, Him is coming!!!

Have a great Sunday with lots of reading!!!
XOXO
