Rating: 3.5 stars

Goodreads Synopsis:

Your life can change when you least expect it, but the love of the right person can make those changes bearable.

Mia Dechino is running from her traumatic past and the death of a loved one. Heartbroken and numb, she packs a bag and is ready to escape the small town in Georgia where she grew up.

Heading off to Miami to start over, she meets Sebastian Price on an interview from hell. Sebastian is cocky, arrogant, and a womanizer but he might be what Mia is searching for.

Mia tries to keep her distance from Sebastian but the connection between them is unavoidable. Their attraction slowly builds as the line between employee and employer blurs.

At twenty-three years old, Mia has gone through more than most people have in a lifetime. Can Mia move past the pain she has in her heart and finally begin to be happy? Or will the guilt of a loved one’s death destroy her.
*Recommended for 17+ due to subject matter and sexual content.

My Review:

First of all I want to congratulate Justine for getting her first book out there!! It gets a lot of courage to put yourself out there and let your words be read by others! I wish a lot of success to her and all the great indie authors out in the world!!

In The Road to Price we get to know Mia Dechino, a 23 year old girl that have suffered a lot more than any young women in her age (or any age) should have. You can’t help wishing for her to be happy and for everything to turn up good for her! We meet her after a very bad moment of her life and needing some change she moves from Georgia to Miami.

In Miami she meets the player millionaire Sebastian Price. Did I mention he’s a P-L-A-Y-E-R??  He’s a man-whore and I haven’t seen man-whoriness like his before…he literally has an harem at his feet…

Well, obviously he needs a girl like Mia to give some meaning to his life, but will her past stand in the path to their future?

First I thought Sebastian was just your normal cocky billionaire, but then we meet a more sweet side of him. I personally prefer my book boyfriends as cocky as they can be. I like to love the jerks, because in the end they all have their hearts…

Sebatian wears his heart in his sleeve, and Mia is very closed off, she has trusting issues (understandable), but she’s also running…from her past, all her suffering and eventually from herself.

Some events were a little bit too rushed for my tastes as well, but in the end, the idea is there: can we have a relationship without disclaiming all our thoughts and feelings? How can someone so used to being alone (and lonely) fight the need to push the others away?

I’m glad the second book is coming on June 29th, because this one left us with a cliffhanger and I really need to know more about what’s in Mia’s head! She needs to face her fears and what happened to her so she can truly heal her past. She needs to heal for herself so she can be strong for Sebastian.

And Sebastian…he needs to man-up a little and fight for what he wants! They both need to mature and I have no doubt that we’ll see them even better in The Road to Forgiveness!

Just one more thing…I don’t believe someone could be good without any advantage to herself like Darcy…I don’t know, I have the feeling she could be up to something…

I can’t wait for more of Sebastian and Mia!!!

Go check The Road to Price on Amazon and get your reading on before June 29th! And don’t forget about the Cover Reveal and the Teaser tomorrow!!!
